The 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design requires changes to pool or spa area access. Full compliance for all public pool and spa access is required beginning March 15, 2011!
 A “public” pool or spa is ANY facility open
to the public: Health Spa, Fitness Center, City Park, Apartment/Condo Complex, Hotel, HOA Community, School Facility.
2010 Federal ADA Standards include elimination of architectural barriers to public access. New laws require changes to pool area access including stairs, rails, sloped entries and pool lifts.
