Even in a time of drought, when preserving water is more important than ever, Burkett says few Californians are aware that watering a lawn requires thousands of gallons of water more than a pool. “A lot of research has been done on the usage of water in California. What they’ve found is that an average pool uses one third less water. So homes with a pool rather than a 1,200 square foot lawn end up saving 30,000 gallons of water per year.”
Burkett’s Pool Plastering recognizes the importance of being a good steward to the environment and has committed to sustainable business practices. Recycling materials in the Ripon based Burkett’s Recycle Yard, resources such as concrete, metal, wood, oils and batteries are repurposed into usable supplies.
