When we noticed some plaster delaminating in summer 2022 in our 33 year old pool, we asked other pool owners for recommendations, and they all recommended Burkett’s. We called them, and Chris came out to confirm our suspicions and assured us that the pool would not leak, giving us time to plan for the resurfacing. We enjoyed working with Chris, who was very flexible in accommodating our work schedules. He was also sensitive to our budget, and encouraged us to keep many of the existing features that were still in good condition. We would only need to change out the pump. We decided to add a tanning ledge, and Chris helped with the design so that it would seamlessly incorporate the existing entry into the pool. We chose Wet Edge Ivory Mist for its smooth white surface, and set a date for early 2023. In the meantime, our existing pump failed, and Chris and Monica facilitated the emergency pump replacement!
As promised, the demo crew showed up in March 2023, and the job continued smoothly through completion. I stayed on the job during the construction phase because we made some last minute changes that needed to be shared with the crew. They we very receptive and patient, and discussed the impact of the changes, both visually and financially, and we went ahead with the new plan. Ricky was our site manager, with each phase of the job being done by a specialized crew. Ricky checked in each day, and all the members of the various crews were knowledgeable, respectful of our property, and super friendly. Our dog was especially happy to have lots of new friends!
Burkett’s truly made our project stress free. In addition to top quality work, Burkett’s clearly values customer service. From sales and construction to payment scheduling, and pool start up, all the people at Burkett’s were great to work with. We now have a pool that’s more beautiful than we had imagined, and in time for summer enjoyment!
